Diep!Vries – Veronica Schip 20.02.27

DIEP!VRIES – VERONICA SHIP 20.02.27 is the only winter edition of the year and lands on the first Saturday of the Dutch spring holiday. Outside it is February: dark, bleak and a wind that creeps from the IJ straight through your coat. Inside, deep in the hold of the Veronica Ship, it is pleasantly warm and from the first to the last record progressive house, deep house and melodic techno is playing. One room, one continuous set.

You experience a club night as it is meant to be: the crowd is 25-plus and comes for the music, not for the pose. The ship is moored at the NDSM Pier, so you experience the water and the skyline, but no seasickness. No one has to get up early the next morning, so you dance until it gets light. And dancing is still the cheapest way to stay warm.
